Dog Surrender

Thank you for considering surrendering your dog to Putnam Pet Pals. We understand that this is a difficult decision, and we want to assure you that we are here to help and support you through this process.

If you are unable to keep your dog, we ask that you please consider the following options before surrendering them to us:

  1. Re-homing: If you are able to find a new home for your dog, it may be the best option for them. This will allow them to stay with a familiar face and avoid the stress of adjusting to a new environment.
  2. Fostering: If you are unable to keep your dog long-term but are able to provide temporary care, you may be interested in our foster program. This will allow you to keep your dog until we are able to find a permanent home for them.
  3. Training: If your dog is exhibiting behavior problems, you may want to consider working with a professional trainer or behaviorist to address these issues. This may help you keep your dog and improve your relationship with them.

If you have considered these options and have determined that surrendering your dog to Putnam Pet Pals is the best course of action, please fill out our surrender form. We will reach out to proceed further. Please be as honest and thorough as possible, as this will help us understand your dog’s needs and determine the best course of action for them.
